Clifton Meadows belongs to the Private Pool Swim League
(PPSL). Every summer, swimmers and divers, of all abilities, are encouraged
to participate in 5-6 dual meets during June and July. At the end of the
season they will participate in "A" or "B" finals.
In addition to swimming, team members look forward to the pancake breakfast,
tie-dye shirt day, the "NUF"-overnight, rafting trips, trips
to the waterpark or King's Island, and the awards dinner. Volunteers for
all the events are essential for the success of the season. Remember
for the meets, we need officials, timers, judges, announcers, and volunteers
to work the score table, to herd the kids, and for home meets to work
the grill and to organize the potluck dinner. Please step forward. Guaranteed
to be a memorable, if not, rewarding experience.
Swim lessons:
Session I June -----; 8-11AM Mon-Fri
Session II July -----; 8-11AM Mon-Fri
Session III July --- Aug --; 8-11AM Mon-Fri.

We hope to offer evening lessons during the 2nd and 3rd
sessions. Information will be posted at the pool when it becomes available.
Registration for the first session begins May 26, for the second session
June 11, and for the third July 2. We will implement a $20 refundable
fee/deposit this year for all sessions in
order to encourage regular attendance. If your child attends 7 of 10 lessons,
the fee will be refunded. Lessons are only open to children of active
members.
Swim team practice times: From May 27 through May 30 there will be 2 practice
sessions: 5pm and 6pm.
Beginning June 2 there will be practices Monday through
Friday; the times are determined by age.
13 & up 8:00 AM
11 & 12 9:00 AM
9 & 10 10:00 AM
8 & under 11:00 AM
Diving practice is in the afternoon.

After home meets enjoy a potluck dinner with the swimmers.
After away meets we stop at Skyline Chili in Clifton.

More Important Dates:
We are in great need of volunteers to judge and officiate. Please
attend one of 2 short clinics for Dive Judges. One will be on May
28 at North Hills at 7pm and one will be June 3 at 7pm at Madeira.
There will be training for Swim Officials on June 3 at 7pm at Madeira
and June 4 at 7pm at Three Rivers.
